Women’s RESILIENCE day retreat
Feeling bogged down by daily challenges, chronic stress, disconnection, emotional exhaustion?
Need some time to unwind, to enjoy activities of self-reflection, stress relief and connection with like-minded women?
Join us to regain resilience through strengthening the mind, body and connection.
It is through connection and community support that we gain strength and knowledge, and become more resilient in our mental and physical health.
It is with this intention that we have created this full day retreat, with a focus on learning and sharing, in order to create resilience in our daily lives. It will be a space where we women can reflect, grow and reconnect.
Saturday 29th Feb will be the 2nd of these retreat days, this time with a focus on hormones and includes the following:
Kundalini yoga, led by Virginie
Kundalini Yoga is what we call the Yoga of Awareness. It provides the skills to re-balance energies, and the focus to reconnect and lift oneself up. Through the practice of kriyas, breathing-eye focus, mantras, body locks and postures, you will re-balance your glandular system, strengthen your nervous system, expand your lung capacity and purify your blood.
You will experience profound energetic and powerful re-balancing of your body, mind and soul. You will be encouraged to integrate regular scheduled exercises into your daily routine in order to increase your awareness through your own experience.
Nutrition talk, led by Kerry
We dont need research to tell us that hormones can cause havoc in our lives, and we have all experienced it at some stage. For this talk Kerry will be taking a deep dive into the highs and lows of hormones, and how to keep them in check so we dont feel like we are losing our minds and create more resilience to change.
In this interactive talk we will cover:
-Hormone production, conversion and elimination
-Oestrogen- The good , the bad and the ugly
-The role of the liver and the gut (including the microbiota) in hormone health
-Preserving mental health during hormonal change
-The effects of stress and adrenal dysfunction
-Nutrients, diet and lifestyle factors that affect our hormones and how we can make immediate changes
Cooking demo, breakfast and lunch, by Jason
We will enjoy a fresh breakfast, as well as a lush seasonal lunch, created by our personal chef, Jason. He will also show us how to create one of the dishes.
As this is a ladies’ event, he will just be coming in to make lunch, teach us some kitchen skills, and then he's off.
Forest walk and discussion
The main intention of this retreat is connection. We will create space and time to share any issues, triumphs or sorrows we may be facing. This could include dealing with a new culture, or way of life, or any area of your life in which you feel you need support.
Join us for a forest walk and reconnect with nature, Or simply relax in the spacious yet cozy lounge - you can even take a book.
We will conclude the day with a guided meditation, to enable self-reflection and focus on what lays ahead. This will be designed to help us approach the challenges of life with calm and resilience.
Please join us to connect, reflect, learn, grow and create a lasting support network !
